Choosing color over engine makes no sense to me. I used to sell cars, and pretty much the only people who did make that choice were 20-year-old girls shopping for Jettas. But it's your money.

now admit it, is there a girl in the background there trying to push you onto the white car?
I also think you should go for the 07. No reason not to go for the faster car with more potential.
OR
you can try to find an 08 brand new for almost the same price, barely any more.

Get the 2007, hands down. Especially if you are going for 1/4 mile times, why wouldnt you get the Extra HP. If you care that much, use the money you would have spent for the extra speed for a new paint job.

Voboy is right on the nose, M.J.H. There's an oil-consumption issue with the 'O6 one. So,

s-w-e-e-t dreams with THAT monZter!!!

honeslty I wouldnt waste my money on a 07-08 with the 370z coming. I soooo glad I didnt jump the gun on the HR with my paid off 03, now I can look forward into getting a 370z...the performance on that car is gonna cast a bigger shadow over the HR than the HR did on the DE....
