Default Cops and shiny cars...

Driving down the freeway today I had the somewhat unfortunate realization that I wasn't really going to buy a car in the color that "I" like. I realized I was much more inclined to buy something like silvertone to fly under the radar so to speak.

I know that I speed. I know cops like shiny sports cars, especially when their red and blues dance off highly polished quarter panels. I want Daytona Blue, but I think I am being influenced by the long arm of the law. Does anyone else feel that way?

I hope your wrong. While I agree that the silver can be harder to see from far away, I went with the Blue because I thought it was less likely to draw cops than the red. I guess I will find out in the not too distant future.

That was one of the main reasons I went with Silverstone.
1) Not too obvious to cops.
2) Timeless Color, only gets better with time
3) Not too hard to keep clean
4) Smooth color

Default You have a point but.....

I think you should get whatever color makes you happy. I personally want something thats easy to keep clean but also looks striking. So I'm looking at either red or white. Silver is the easiest of all to keep clean but it makes the car look "unassuming." It's a beautiful color but it just doesn't WOW me. But that's just me.

As far as the cops are concerned........who cares. Let them look, as long as I didn't pass them doing triple digit speeds I should be alright. Plus I got my PBA's.

I'll tell you what freaked me out... a few years ago, I was driving from Atlanta to Charlotte, and a silver E36 M3 flew up behind me 9(I was going 85)... I moved out of the way, and as the M3 was passing me, I notice blue stripes on the side... yes, the M3 was a SC State Trooper...

Yes, it was a couple years ago... but it's the entire concept of an M3 as a trooper car that frightens me....

SC cops are VERY sneaky. My friend and I were driving back from Florida to Jersey today and we must've seen about 25 cops on our way thru SC on 95. They had all different cars, all different colors...It was ridiculous...I was amazed. Sneaky they are there.
