Pics of my Silverstone Z
Got it last night and i love it...today at work everyone wanted to check out the car and everyone thought it was the most beautiful car, which it its ...here are some pics...
got it at Doulas Nissan of Orange...they had a Brickyard and my silverstone and we both picked it up around the same time
just wanted to give a little commentary on the car...haven't had a chance to really "drive it" but already about 50 highway miles...the car's suspension is definitely quite stiff and it gets a little bumpy on the freeways but nothing unexpected from a sports car... this will be my one and only car and i don't foresee any problems driving it everyday and every where...even though i am staying under 4000rpm for the break-in period, there is already quite a bit of torque. And I can't wait to take it to the redline cause I can just feel that power waiting to be let loose.
since i haven't been able to take the car out to some twisties, i can only comment about some abrupt right and left turns that i have made
the car displays almost no hint of dive or sway during a hard corner. the steering is accurate and has just the right weight to it and the car seems like it's just waiting for you to make a quick turn...i just love this car...
the only thing remotely close to negative i can say about the car would be the quality...don't get me wrong it's definitely not bad AT ALL...the materials they use are unique and "cool" to touch and look at but very "plasticky" i made up that word but you know what i mean. The other thing would be the door, it doesn't feel super solid, it's fairly light and makes me feel like i want something more substantial. Those are the only things that i feel are minuses for the car but not important to the over all scheme of things which is the driving experience and in that department...so far in my brief stint... there are no negatives

Congrats Jacen.....awesome, awesome car.
One question.....do you have big parking spaces at your work? I wouldn't be able to concentrate worrying about door dings.
I saw this Silverstone tonight in Richmond. Poor lighting but great color...

it's the black leather...and it looks great...the orange stitching and orange perferated dots are so cool...but i think you're right about it being light, it's not super black like i've seen in some cars...here's another pic where you can see the stitching better
tim...i do worry about dings and i try to find a spot where there will be a car only on one side...
as for the transmission...it shifts smoothly but not silky like a toyota/lexus...it shifts down quickly when you want to (just a little pressure on the gas pedal) but i notice that since i'm not revving past 4000, the gear shifts quickly trough 3, 4, and 5...like it wants to rev but since i'm not letting it, it goes through the gears...as for the 'manual shift', haven't really used it but did try it for a bit at low speed and it wasn't too quick to change gears...but i've heard that these things work best when you're opening up the throttle...just don't like the button on the side of the shifter...bought a MOMO replacement but the stem on the Z ISN'T round and the MOMO is. Plus I couldn't see where the screws to remove the shifter is. Got to find someway to fit the MOMO one on...its so much better lookin...

AFter seeing all of the new pictures, and the silverstone pics in this thread in particular, both with and without the front plate, all I can say is those pre-orders that don't call their dealers over and over again to make sure the plate doesn't go on are out of their friggin' minds!
Was told by my dealer (Douglas Nissan of Orange....great experience by the, literaly rolled out the red carpet and had the car sittin on it) that they weren't putting any front plates on and just leaving it in the trunk...but i reminded them a few times any ways..
