Well I think I have some insight into this rash of bad reviews, vs glowing reviews. It sometimes seems as if we are talking about two different cars. On the one hand we have the ultra-responsive, powerful porsche killer. On the other hand we have the Kia/hyundia interior bathtub sitting, slower than a 3.0L A4, not quite up to toyota, overweight nissan wanna be a player.
Well I have driven some of the compition and flirted with a Z06 and S2000, boxster. You know what? I have been hyper critical of these cars myself. For instance the seating position in the Boxster S and plastic rear window not to mention the inflated price tag. The Z06's interior. The S2000's lack of torque. It's all been said. Does this stop thousands of people from buying these cars? Obviously no.
Different strokes for different folks, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, stupid is as stupid does. What goes around comes around.
My point is say I had my heart set on a G35 coupe. Now I have to talk myself into thinking its a superior car. Or say I have a new A4 3.0 costing more than a 350Z. How am I going to live with my decision if I know the 350Z is a better car? Therefore I talk myself into believing what I want to believe. That is say the roof is a bit low (Even though no car magazine deemed it noteworthy). Or the center material is not made of titanium and rosewood (even though this was never the object of the car).
Just think about your own children. Most parents will say their kids are the cutest or the smartest.
as they say just my 2 cents
