maybe worth it for you.. but not to your fellow tax payers who have to pay for your need to drive with chains
You're right. Pretty sure I made like 40 new potholes in the combined 4 hours I drove with chains on. How about the people who drive around with studded tires (which should be illegal here, but they still aren't) for 4 or 5 months JUST IN CASE it's icy or snowy? Go find one of them and throw around your tax payer stuff. I'm not going to park my car when my job depends on me getting where I need to go just because having chains on might put a couple new scratches in the ruts that have already been carved out by people with studs and overweight vehicles. Lecture complete.
yeah i am also waiting for my car to thaw out, i do not want to disrupt the process lol. There is a huge layer of Ice in the middle of two snow layers.

I'm doing the same with my beater car. Driving the Titan or the Pathfinder while there is snow and the Z is tucked away safely in the garage for now.
Aghhh I wish there was that much snow in Cincinnati! Oh well, the warm temperatures let me wash/wax my car in December; also, it let me try out a Christmas present I got... When I said I wanted stuff for my car I didn't mean these.
Those lasted roughly 20 minutes and are now retired.
How much do those chains go for? The Z is my daily and when it snows or hails, she sits in my driveway un touched. The few times I attempted to drive her she would end up sideways just leaving my hilly street.

Here was my winter fun... or not so fun $5300 later she looks like brand new again! I was coming home from a road trip to Iowa where it was 50 degrees in the morning, when i hit Minnesota it was snowing, blowing, ice on the roads and 10 below zero! I never saw it coming, and neither did the sign i hit... oh well, **** happens!
