Definitely get her the 03-05 clear reflectors. They are VERY inexpensive, and can be had for no more than $20 shipped on eBay now. And for the remaining $30, you can get her a flip-out/switchblade remote key from ipearlg on G35Driver.com.

I'm aware eGay isn't the place to be buying performance products, but I hardly consider a short ram intake as a performance product. As long as it's shiny metal and gives that throaty short ram-open filter sound, it's fulfilling it's intended purpose for me.
I guess now she heard I might buy her an intake and she's REALLY looking forward to it. It's nice having a g/f and a g/f's sister who are both into cars. I don't have to buy useless jewelry, just car parts. My g/f is getting adjustable rear control arms for her 3000GT this year lol.
So I ordered up a short ram intake, but you guys gave me plenty of ideas for her soon to come birthday present, which is greatly appreciated. I really just wanted to make sure there wasn't any special Z situation, where it could cause harm, that a Z noob like me wouldn't expect.
I really like the driving school idea, i'm always worried about that Z getting wrecked. Her first RWD car. I always warn her to be very careful in the wet, and even to find an empty parking lot and learn to deal with some sliding situations.
Thanks all for your help.
1. form < function
2. The Z has a very good CAI stock (its obvious, open the hood and look at it). The only gains you would get out of an aftermarket intake, let me rephrase that, the only way you wont lose power is if you buy the JWT popcharger, or the 06+ stock CAI with a flowstack. Ive heard mixed reviews of the nismo intake, all of them are out of your pricerange of fitty.
3. Why come to a forum, ask advice, and leave not taking any of it into consideration?
4. Its time for me to grab another beer.

Hey guys/gals,
I'm looking to buy a christmas present for my girlfriend's sister, who owns a '03 350Z auto, in the price range of under $50. She has a 5 year extended warranty as of last year so i'm mainly concerned with not voiding it.
I was looking at the eGay cold air intakes, and they seem to fit what i'm looking for. Are there any known problems with them, or caused by them? Any warranty issues that may arrise from installing a CAI?
Again, not looking for a bang for buck deal, more bling/sound for buck while not hurting warranty deal.
Thanks for any help.

I was pretty well decided before I came here, I was mainly concerned with my original questions. Believe me I considered all these ideas, and don't worry, I WILL be using some of them come March for her B-day.
And when the time comes that she wants to put her OWN money toward making her car faster, then we'll pick out quality products. But with a $50 limit, her wanting something shiny that bolts up and is a "mod", and her having no experience with a fast car, let alone a fast RWD car, she's getting bling.
