I sympathize with you man, someone elton john'd my Z last summer, made me so pissed at the time but I made out on the deal because I made it the "perfect" time to get my Aerosync bumper and nismo sides installed.

+1, other than the paint the bumper will need the clips and trim is easily replaced.

HHmmmm...... Not really actually. Update from another thread:

Sooooo uh i got to school this morning and got to work on seing what the hell was wrong with my bumper..... and found some preety disturbing things. The impact was strong enough to not only dent the bumper, but actually bend the metal support brackets that hold the support beam. Whats that mean? I now absolutely HAVE to get insurance involved due to the repairs going over some odd 800 dollars on just parts (doing my own installation FTW) annnd im going to need two new brackets, a new bumper, and a new tail light. Hopefully the chicks insurance just gives me a check upfront and doesnt ask questions, meaning i can pocket the labor money and use it for the amuse kit or something. Moral of the story..... dont get it in the rear

OH..... how could i forget. PICS (sorry not best quality. from my phone):

This support isn't supouse to be bent down like it is:

Brackets dented:

Body even took some dents:

typical women driver. I bought my Z in early 08' about a month later i got rear ended. The damage looks exactly like yours. His insurance gave me a 3,000 dollar check. If i were you i'd definatly take off the bumper and check for internal damage. I had about a thousand dollars worth of hidden damage.

I'm sorry to hear that. You should've call the police at the moment. I hope her insurance company covers everything but if it going to nasty then you gotta use your own money from your pocket.

Keep us update! =)

This is why CarFax is a joke. Also, looks can be deceiving. My brother was involved in a similar accident, and settled with the other driver for $1,400. He thought all he needed was a new tail light and a little rubbing compound. That and he was happy to have the $1,400. Turns out, after a few weeks of driving, he discovered there was more damage than what he originally thought. It ended up costing him $2,800 to fix. I'm not sure what the real problem was, but I always file a police report and have their insurance fix whatever is wrong rather than have them cut me a check.

Also, he never got it fixed. He just sold it to someone else who did a CarFax on the car which turned out to be "accident-free." Seriously, never buy a CarFax on a used car. They're pointless! Have a good mechanic look at any used car you're considering to purchase instead!

This happens way to much for my sanity and anger control. One bimbo even said I should have bought a car that could go into reverse faster. #%$#@ *&%$@* followed. I don't expect people to back up at red lights and stop signs. Besides I'm watching for people to rear end me. She Can't Understand Normal Thinking.

Sorry to hear that! Another thing besides ppl rear ending my car is when driving thru parking lots, some ppl forget to check for cars passing by or just dont see you and they start to back out. I almost got hit by a truck the other day at Walmart.
