In your opinon, is buying the enthusiast model over the base really worth 2,000 more? I was planning on a Base, but everyone it buying the Track/Touring and things, and I'm beginning to think to change my order to the Enth, if it's really worth it, I still have a few days to decide, the order goes to the manufactor on monday.

its definitely worth it.
Once you have the HID lights, you'll never want to drive with any other lights. Also all the other goodies, and the most important, the Limited Slip Differential. No sports car should be without one.

HID Conversion is only 500 bucks, and in my celica gt, totally mod'ed out, I don't have traction, but i never really needed it, not like I gun the pedal in rain/snow/sleet. And what Limited Slip Differential? I never heard of that until now.

$2K is really a good price for what you get. I don't care about home link, auto dimming is nice but I wouldn't pay extra. But cruise control, Xenon, TC, LSD are all very important. I would not buy the base model if it was the only one available.

your celica is front wheel drive also. Limited slip differential allows the torque to be split so that a slipping tire doesn't get as much as the one with grip (simple explanation, I'm sure someone else can word it better)

It is SO worth it. For the LSD alone, it would be worth it. For the cruise control and HID lights alone, it would be worth it. The TCS is really, really good to have in this car (from personal experience!) Getting the base is absolutely foolish unless you really have no possible way of coming up with the extra dough (just a few more dollars a month!) No excuse. The Enthusiast is a real bargain. (Don't forget the cool aluminum pedals too!)

I originally ordered the BASE and then decided that a 287 HP RWD car really needs a LSD. Plus my 88Z handled like **** in the rain, I spun it once on the freeway, so I'm thinkin the TCS is well worth it. The rest HID, cruise, etc. is cool, but it was the LSD and the TCS that made me upgrade. BTW, when I upgraded I dropped the side impact airbags, I decided I would rather stay out of wrecks, than have side impact during the wreck. Dropping the side impace made the upgrade only $1400

Trac control example:
IS300, somewhat underpowered, yet, every week I read on the is300.net forum of yet another idiot kid who wrecked his car by taking a corner in the rain too fast, with traction control off. It can save your butt, especially if you are inexperienced and not used to powerful rwd.

I currently drive a truck with no LSD.
Stick as well... Just try starting up a wet hill with a stick and no LSD... NOT FUN.
Even on flat wet road, I have to be extra carefull er else I'll have 1 wheel spinning and not be going anywhere..
LSD IS A MUST FOR A HIGH TORQUE CAR!!!
