Default Curvy Roads - Tail of the Dragon

A couple of us hit Tail of the Dragon this weekend. For those who don't know about it, go to this link to read two reviews and find out why people drive several hundred miles to drive this stretch of road on the NC/Tenn border.

Reading the site seems like a dangerous place to ride.

not really... if anything, most that go there are very wary of what they're getting into and act accordingly. I guess some go up their trying to be "the $hit" and screw up, but the majority of people we talked to over the weekend seemed very conscious of only pushing as hard as they were able to handle.

That said, you can run into an unexpected situation anytime, anywhere. In my opinion, I'd rather hit this road than an autocross... no question that my insurance will cover a mishap here (without charging me additional on my insurance premium). That isn't always necessarily the same at the track...
