+1.

Just go to the Buying/Leasing subforum and see what the average prices are there....

If brand new 08 Z's are going for around $21,500, I ask again, how do you think the used market will fair? Based on that price

Used
08 Z $17-19k
07 Z $15-17k
and it just snowballs downward from there.

Again, incentives + discounts set the pricing for the new market under the theory that people will take the superior item for the same price (if you could buy a brand new 08 Z for $21k why would you buy a used one for the same price?).

Members searching for a 350Z complain that they cant find one.
Members selling a 350Z complain that they cant sell it.
Strange isn't it.

Well I have to give you credit. You have more "for sale" threads outside the marketplace than anyone else.

There's hope. Its January and freezing. Few buyers are shopping for a sports car. This spring may offer new opportunities.

How many miles? Too bad about the 20"s. Good timing on the purchase though. I bought an '06 GT with 21k miles for $20k in the middle of September. A month later and I could have saved $1k easy.

Stupid for a poor college boy to take out a car loan, so VERY bad.

Other than that, I think you could do better than that on price. Also, only the inexperienced look at monthly payments. Look at initial price first and foremost.

I've been trying to sell mine for a bit now. I might lower the price to 18,500 to see if anyone bites. But yea the market right now is garbage especially if you're trying to sell a 2 seater sports car that's not a hybrid.

You've been trying to sell it for a "bit now" because you're price is WAY out of the range of market pricing.

For $18,500 I'm expecting to see a lightly used 08 base Z coupe, not a 2006 model because brand new 08 Z coupe's are going for $21,500 from a dealer. That means when you drive it off the lot, they should have lost about $2000-3000 in value instantly.

^This is true until all dealers sell out all their 2008 350z's because then you lose the leverage of buying new versus used and there likely won't be any rebates on the 370z's, so the price difference will make most buyers second guess before deciding.

once they sell out of the 08's, i'd expect to see the prices to come back up a little bit.

That's what I'm expecting too so buying a brand new base 350z now at $21-22k is quite a steal, seeing it will still be around that price in the next year or so until more used 370z's are available.
