+1

In 08 this forum was full of "Totaled" threads.. 09 looks to be the year of the "ripoff".

Notice how scammers always seem to have a sad sob story in their back pocket to throw out when attention is brought to the theft?

i am not a scammer by any means and did not want to upset him in any way i am ver sorry for that. i hope this will be resolved and i can salvage this for what it is. an honest mistake...

if he would like to call me he can at 217-663-2207 my name is jesse finke and again i am very very sorry
Then refund him his money until you are ready to ship out the item.

Not trying to defend the seller, but it is obvious that they are still on the car. That just makes the transaction even more risky. I would feel a lot more comfortable if the item was off and ready to ship. If that was the case then he could have easily found the time to drop by the post office on the way to the hospital. Plenty of things can go wrong if the item is still in use. What if he bottoms out or gets in a wreck before he is able to take them off?

easy fix here. You have until 5pm PST on Tuesday 17 Feb 2009 to provide me with proof of shipment (tracking number) or to fully refund the OP his money or you are going to be banned.

I am sick of this crap.

Thank you mods for taking action instead of being bystanders.

Good eye. If you look at the Nigerian scam, the thief always has a sick family member:

My mother is in the hospital and needs money right away.

My husband just passed away. Need money right away or I will be living on the street.

Agreed. Luckily all of my transactions on this board have been smooth. Although there have only been a few of them.

Ok everyone, I called him and talked to him, and hopefully everything is straight now. I know, it was my mistake as well, I should have done my research and known it was risky, but I am a newb and screwed up. I appeciate all the help and will def be more careful in the future. I am young and knieve and still have some things to learn, but this is a lesson learned and the same mistake wont be repeated! Love thes site and will do more business through here!

+1 on what USN HM said, as well as Dave. I'm also getting tired of people putting up items for sale, then taking their sweet time to ship. That, or still having the item still on their car. If the item isn't ready for shipping the day after you receive full payment, you have no busy posting FS items...

this really doesnt make much sense since they havent actually sold anyone anything. so they have a few bucks and can order some parts thru a vendor. doesnt make the person a legit/good seller.

i would recommend just staying local when buying stuff from members on this site.

P.S.

Bye Mr. Evo
