I have a quick question for all you Z owners, how do you put up with your
door handles being silver and not painted body color? I love the Z and drove
one for 12 years ('92 ZXTT) but those door handles would really bug me. I'm
currently driving a G because I need a back seat....that's the only reason!

I have a Silverstone so the door handles are not that different in color. But...........the door handles don't bother me anyway. I think they look pretty good.

 

^ same mine is carbon silver around the same..
so IMO its fine..

 

Mine is pearl white and I love the door handles.

 

They were like that when I bought it and have like the look ever since. Do you think I should get mine painted red?

I kind of understand where the OP is going with this. Those door handles do stand out. There was someone on here a while back that was developing color matched door handles for the Z. I think they were shaved down a bit as well. For me its the 1 thing that I think Nissan could have done better, but its really not that serious.

 

I like my door handles....

 

+1 on distinct, i think its unique. i too have an SS Z.

 

its a great color accent specially if ur goin with "chrome" rims or something of that sort.. ive seen it painted and that doesnt last very long :/

Its an abomination but somehow, with the help of family members and friends, I manage to cope.

 

Painted the handles black to match the car... I had to. I was nearly having a heart attack everytime I went to open the door.

I don't think they look bad at all.... the ones on the 370 look a bit more "off" than the 350 imo... I think your question was more about the colour matching though, having a black Z, I believe it's the same colour as the stock rims anyway and like others have said, it's distinctive.

 

bought a carbon fiber door handle cover. Problem solved.
