Default Going from a 03 to a 07.

We'll guys after having my 2003 since 2006 bought her with 34K..now shes at 89K I've been looking at other cars. Was looking at the Hyundai Genesis coupe and a few others.Well I think I came across a deal im not gonna pass up and going to possibly finish a deal tomarrow.

I found a one owner black 2007 Z Grand Touring loaded 6spd(without nav)..car has 24,217 miles. They are asking $19,995..figure I might get them down to $19,000 since there gonna rip me a new one on my 2003 Z for trade in.

For those that have the 07 Zs any issues that should be addressed? What mods for NA have made the best gains?

My RMC finish Volk SF challanges will be here this week coming also.Worried about the TPS sensor. On the newer Zs..how much of a PITA is it to install these in Volks?

thanks...

I'm also looking for an 07. The price that you are paying is what I am expecting to pay as well so I think that you are getting a fair deal.

The only real issue that I've come across on the 07 is the slave cylinder recall.

The vin numbers that this applies to are:

JN1BZ34**7M500002 to 552786 and JN1BZ36A*7M650021 TO 654836

I'm not sure if you can still get the cylinder changed if you buy one that hasn't been sent in for the recall. Most 07's that I've found are in those vin ranges. That's why I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Best of Luck!

I own a black 07 gt without nav so it seems like you are looking at a sister car. Anyway yes the only problem so far is the clutch slave master cylinder recall, and any 07 that had the work done should be registered as such so check with the seller. As for mods it really depends. You aren't going to need to worry about the plenum...etc. I'd say drive the HR...see if you still want more power. Also plenty of guys have swapped out rims without too much issue. As long as you are close to stock it shouldn't be a big deal.

With the TPMS... you can use the band method or buy the adapter.

Answer to First question - Go to the VQ35HR area of the board

Answer to Second question - This thread helped me. If you have questions. You can PM me. https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...any-wheel.html

MY QUESTION - what's up with all this car changing with a few thousand miles? I have almost 300K on a '95 300ZX and will continue to 'roll it' and improve/maintain it. Have ~35K on a '08 ZR and will have it for quite awhile more. I know it's not for everyone, but just sounds a bit money foolish.

Oh I wouldn't worry too much about the TPMS either. 07s don't have em.

here is a suggestion; buy the car you like and that you can afford. if you can't make up your own mind you should just keep the one you got until you can

According to the most recent Auto Issue edition of CR, our beaZts get better and better with each passing year. They're now classified as "Much Better Than Average" in this April's issue of that publication. FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOUR "Z", dudes! BTW, the Miata has been THE Sports car pick for three years in a row. I just prefer a bit more hp/torque in my vehicle.

Either that, or just misinformed... They definately have them... Also, OP, the best thing you can do is to sell your car privately... They are just a PITA to a dealer, and you having a trade-in gives them power... I am almost 100% sure that you could send that dealer an email saying you will buy it TODAY for 17k, and he would ask you when you are coming to get it... <--- From Previous experience...

$19,000 for an 07 Grand Touring 350Z!

Are people selling these actually letting go for that amount. Thats like $16,000 depreciation in a year. I can get past my own skeptisim on this. I guess I could see them going for that if someone is going to loose their house or something and needs the cash today!

but jeeze I mean an 06 Acura RSX with the same mileage is like $19,000 and the cars are in different leagues.

The dealership by me has an 08 GT Convertable and is asking $41,000 for it. Maybe things are drasticly different in other parts of the country, but I haven't come across any steals like that up here in MA. Maybe were just to stubborn to let a car go for that much, but I mean wow! thats a serious hit.

I'd loose less have invested my life savings in Lehmen

I hope he is, because if they aren't the little green box attached to the inside of the rim then I think the CIA might be spying on me.

Huge selection of 350's + 370Z + Economy in the crapper. My car was "worth" (KBB) 22k when I got it last year. Its worth about 17k now.

41k for is ridiculous. If someone pays within 10k of that, they should be...educated.

No I am not joking. 07s do not have an individual tire pressure readout, only the idiot light that comes on if the pressure difference between two tires is too great or if the pressure gets too low. Previous years (I know at least through 05) had individual readouts and a more sophisticated sensor in each tire. It was an extra setting on the trip computer.

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/287233

Thus as long as your pressure remains similar for each tire, it should not be much of an issue.
