06 is a solid year. How much did you pay? What trim is it? Anything you do to the engine will be mostly for sound. These things are peak tuned from the factory. Save up for big good stuff, don't rice it out with ebay bric-a-brac.

Good luck with the deal, here is a pic of my 06:

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/kj41Z-zSQ41Ds6BXjX-KNQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_O3V0YUR-7Dc/SbVjbskbDlI/AAAAAAAAC0I/VikDow7stKw/s800/IMG_5719.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/Eric.Blankenship/LightsPainted?feat=embedwebsite">Lights Painted</a></td></tr></table>

Make sure to keep a close eye on the oil however, I had my engine replaced at 38k due to oil consumption. Thankfully it was all covered under warenty. Read this thread from front to back:

Boulder Nissan in Colorado has an 08 Nismo for 29,999 9 (http://www.bouldernissan.com/ou/boul...ernet_specials). 08 base models were under 22K as recently as 2 weeks ago.

Sounds like the economy might be picking up if an 06 Base is going for $19,900! I just paid $19,400 for my 06 Grand Touring with 16k miles and it. Book value means nothing in this economy.

You want to pay $20k for an '06 base? People are getting '08s for that much.

Here's what an '06 base is worth:

http://www.edmunds.com/used/2006/nis...6/options.html

Tell you what. Give me your name and the dealers name and I'll call them and negotiate on your behalf. You give me whatever the difference is between 19400 and the price I negotiate for you. You save $500 and I'll get thousands for making a phone call. We both win!
