Default New Tranny under warranty

For those of you who have had your tranny replaced under warranty. How bad did it have to be for Nissan to do something about it. Also did you have to fight them on it or prove it wasnt your doing?
I have an 03 with a 7 year powertrain warranty and my transmission has started grinding between gears just within the last couple of weeks. I am going to take it in and see if they will fix it.
thanks

Members have had the transmission replaced, but the problem must be "obvious." My advice is that you take a drive with a service manager or technician. He drives. You in the passenger seat. This way obvious problems are not easily ignored.

Note: What might appear to be transmission problems are actually clutch problems. I assume that the clutch is not a warranty item.
