Not sure if this has already been mentioned:
I got a call this morning from a Nissan North America employee based out of Chicago, that invited me to a "Z Car Event" scheduled to take place Sunday, September 8 from 1pm-5pm at the Chicago Motor Speedway. They will be having the official Chicago unveiling to the public and are planning on having a mix of older vintage Zs with some of the new 350s as well. We would do a lap around the track with all of the other cars present & then pull into the pit. I think we may get the opportunity to do a couple laps after the event is over. I was told that dealers would be informed of the event to let Z customers know, but that I could pass this along to other Z car owners, cuz the more Zs that show up the better. It could also be a good opportunity to meet some fellow Z enthusiasts.

Does anyone know if any of the local dealers have recieved any of the demo Z's for test drives. I called Continental Nissan and they said it should be in soon.

 

I just got off the phone with Mary. Very nice woman. She checked her list and confirmed that my Z should arrive in time.

She emailed me all the info along with this:

Yes, we would definitely want to have you not just attend, but also participate in this event. In fact, you and other Z customers who will take delivery of your new 350Z will have center stage in the unveiling portion of the event as you drive the track!
