Ford Mustang Cobra, although that is a bit less then 50K. That said I love my Z and it will be with me fr a long time.

I know the cars are quite different Raw power versus fun to drive. However, none of the other cars you folks mentioned are as fun as the Z so my choice would be the Cobra.

 

either an infiniti g35 coupe or a mustang cobra convertible. totally different cars, but love em both. man, i wish i had more parking stalls.... and more money to fill those stalls.

 

It's all in what you like, but no class?

They have there own class all to themselves, I don't care for M3's but they still have class.

And not everyone who drives cars like those are Racer Boys, I see plenty of kids in their dad's car try'n to race everyone on the street.

but i see more "boy racers" driving 350z's and G35's around here more than STi's and Evo's...

and STi's interior is comparable to the 350z... the fit and finish in my brothers impreza (3 yrs old already ) is better than my dads... 1 yr old nissan.

$50k hmm......

Sports car: Corvette Coupe or Vert I don't care lol, I don't think I could get a ZO6 for that price though.

Sedan: probably a BMW 330xi or maybe a 5 series under 50k

SUV: BMW X5 there is no doubt

now if you said for the same price or less than your 350z I would probably go with

Sports car: Ford Mustang Mach 1
Sedan: BMW 325xi

That's just me though

 

I still kind of wonder if I should have got a C5 Z06 just because of performance aspect (but it is over 50K). I will spend a lot of money on my Z to get it to Z06 level and that is my goal.

If about same price as Z, S2000. Actually, i would have not got anything. I am single and got a good running truck. My Z is something i just wanted, a toy, but I do not need it. I did not really have enough desire to get the S2000 or I would have bought it before I got my Z.

 

I would do what I was originally going to do before the new Z came out. Buy a used Z32 TT and put 20K in rebuild/mods into it. And I'd still have 15K to screw around with.

My choices would be:

Pre-owned Porsche 993 (last of the air cooled 911 series)

Wait to see what the next generation Corvette is like.

 

I wouldn't have bought a car - didn't need one.

But, since you're asking - I'm in the M3 camp.

 

Z with 15k in mods.

The M3 would be a nice choice but Zxsaint is right, they are so bland. A used NSX or 911 would be nice too.

I dunno, I'm happy with my Z. Heck, I'd probably just get another Z and pocket the 15k.
