Diminished Value
My Z was backed into by a drunk, someone saw it and held them until the cops came. they had insurance and went to jail. Just $1500 damage but a wrecked car is worth less than one that has not been in a wreck.
Does anyone have experience or info on a formula etc?
Thanks.

The subject is addressed about once every 6 month. Never heard from a member who was successful with a diminished value claim.

Yeap, I'm an idiot, always flunked English. Firefox didn't mark it so thought I was good. Thanks for straightening that out, now who has usable info?

I know that is addressed by insurance companies, just looking for a formula, before I talk with adjuster. They don't give it to you if you don't ask. I'll keep everyone posted when its over.

Best bet is to ask the insurance adjuster.

Depends on how much damage. I hit a deer and the insurance company gave me a measly $162 for diminished value.

I know people with antique/classic cars that have been successful in getting diminished value after a wreck. But I don't see you getting much money on an '04 Z.
