Like many excited customers I pre-ordered my 350Z and chose the side impact airbags for safety reasons, but I was very disappointed when I could not add a leather interior to my Enthusiast model. However, I was informed by the dealer that a factory leather interior option would be available by the release date. Yesterday I was told that if you choose to get the $1500 factory leather accessory, the owner would have to sign a side impact airbag waiver! Why did I bother to buy the side air bags if they may not work after the accessory “upgrade ”is installed? Nissan has made a big mistake here. They should at least give the customer the option to exchange the seats before he/she takes delivery of the car. I’m going to call Nissan and complain!
