I had an issue with 2 bent rims when I ran over some road "bubbles". Oh wait that wasn't my cars fault...

I don't think it is "cheap" overall. But there are some things, the door arm rest paint coming off with the slightest scratch, that say cheap to me. I think they skimped in some places, but most cars do.

It doesn't have the build quality that my wife's Accord does. That thing hasn't been to a shop or had even a minor issue in 80k miles. In 15k, my Z has needed tire feathering fix, faulty headlight replacement, door arm rest paint scratch repairs, window motor repair, top fixes, etc. It's definitely not the BEST built car out there.

I think all Zs have the interior rattle you're referring to, but some have it more than others. Now about the interior getting scratches, that's something common in a lot of Japanese cars, I think it's the crappy material they use.

Wait, that means 3 times already?. You probably need training on how to operate power windows. Or, if you know how, then take it to a different dealer to look into the problem.

Road noise and crappy interior should be expected. I did a lot of research on the car before I bought and ALL of the reviews mentioned these as downfalls. (apparently, most of this has been fixed on the 370)

The panels on the door definitely scratch up very easily. Every Z I looked at had this problem. The guy I bought mine from had these repainted for me though so mine look brand new.

I haven't had any window problems yet, but I know they're coming. I had the same trouble with my Civic.

My dad and I were talking about the car today. He wanted to know what I thought about it after driving it for a month. I basically told him that it's much more of a raw sports car than I had anticipated. It looks more luxurious from the outside. He asked if I had any buyer's remorse. I said not a damn bit.

For the window thing...don't you just have to reset the a switch? It happened to me a while ago, and I reset the switch and has been working fine ever since.

1. With the door open, lift up and hold the power window switch until the door glass is fully closed.
2. Get inside the vehicle and close the door. NOTE: You need to close the door so the door switch is fully depressed.
3. Press and hold the reset switch. While holding the reset switch, press down and hold the power window
switch until the door glass is fully opened.
4. Release the reset switch. Then, lift up and hold the power window switch until the door glass is fully closed.
5. Open the door to release the door switch. The door glass should partially move down.
CAUTION:
Do not use the window auto function.
Do not release the switch before the window is fully stopped.

same here, for the most part. my subs seemed to have worked loose something near the third brake light. other than that, no issues whatsoever. only 16k miles on my 07 though, time will tell.

And you speak for all 350Z owners?

The only problems with mine is the motors (or something down there) for the driver / passenger door windows leave marks and scratched up the window. And the hydraulics for the hatch don't hold it up, which is a pain when it falls on your head getting something out the trunk lmao.

Nothing to keep me from loving my car though

I have the same problem with the window on the driver's side. The window goes up all the way and then comes down halfway. The dealer told me the factory only allows them to adjust the pinchpoint one time. They made an adjustment and the window worked fine for a while but now it's doing the same ****!! Other than that everything works fine. I'm not complaining buy why did they wait until the 370 to make improvements to the interior?

My 07's been a dream for the last two years *knock on wood.* I'm not trying to speak for all 350Z owners, but I love my Z. It may not have the most exotic materials in the interior, but it's well put together for the money you paid for it.

True that. As far as pricing goes, the Z's are definitely taken a dump.

I've had 8 and seem to always be fixing them. Try owning an older performance car, it's incredibly ....not fun to maintain. My m3 always has problems, when the car is good to go mechanically, it still has cosmetic, rattles etc issues, or vise versa.

I think you and your buddy are fine, sounds like your looking for problems..? haha. Just know you have it real good!
