There are many resources available to find out the value of a vehicle. If you don't know the value of your car off the top of your head, why should any of us?

But since I am such a generous internetter, I took the liberty of using one of those many resources to find a possible value for you. I can share that information, or even the name of the website I obtained it, if you'd like.

If your looking to sell it, and got a serious offer of 13k- go for it.

Just a hint. If I am buying from a private seller, and offer $13,000, and the owner says “I will think about it,” my next offer will be $12,000.

Give the guy a call and keep your fingers crossed, hoping he does not change his mind. With what I have seen these days that is a good offer unless you are selling it with some 3k Volks on it.

So let's say something is worth $15k and you lowball at $13k and the seller says "I will think about it". You will offer even less? Sounds brilliant. Good luck with that!

So the buyer wasn't a fuktard and came back with $12k? Interesting.

Sorry for your loss. Congrats on being able to sell your car though.

hey if the deal wasn't agree'd apon at 13k becuase the guy said he'll think about it whats the problem. offering less after both parties agree on the price is fcuked up. happend to me when i was selling my 300zx TT, the guy said "i only got 3800 now..." (we had already agreed on 4000). i said thanks for wasting my time you piece of **** and hung up.

Well yeah, I agree with you on your situation. Your buyer was a complete jerk for pulling that.

I am talking about the negotiation process. If someone wants time to consider your offer because it is too low, why would you go even lower? Not only is that stupid, it's a dick move. The seller could have said GTFO, but at least gave the courtesy to think it over.

Not a dick move, just being a smart buyer. I would do the same as davidv, as much as we all want to get what we paid for. Why not pay less, especially on a car. You don't have to give in. If you do it's either financial matter making you accept or the fact you want out of your situation.

The sad part about this thread is how quickly this car depreciates in value! To bad the mod parts are still overpriced.

local 350z's go for significantly more money around my area. if i had to ballpark it, people post them for around $16-18k for that many miles. No guarantees they are selling them for that much, but it still seems inflated.
