Thumbs up New to the Family

Hello everybody. Well, after lusting after the 350Z for the last few months, and reading about all the good times you guys are having, I finally got up the nerve to pull the trigger on a new vehicle purchase. Tomorrow I get to pick up my new 04 Performance in Silverstone. After driving a truck for the last 7 years I decided it was finally time to treat myself to a little fun. Once the test drive was over there really was no turning back. Here begins what could quite possibly be the longest 24 hour period of my life.

I just wanted to thank you guys for being a great, positive source of information and entertainment. Without this forum I would probably still be twiddling my thumbs debating what I should do about my desire for a new car. I look forward to talking to you guys in the future about any little questions that may pop up. Rest assured, I know how to use the Search button Thanks again guys for your unbridled enthusiasm for what I think is going to be an awesome car.

For now I will be very happy with just the stock Performance model. After driving a pickup for the last few years, Im sure the Z will deliver all the thrills I need without any mods. Who knows what the future holds however. Just out of curiosity, if there is one must have modification, what would it would be? Is there any kind of general opinion on what should be the first upgrade?

First let me say welcome. Second I would do a search on CAI in this site I happen to be one of the people that believe that a cold air intake can actuallyhurt our Z in stock for. Now if you have a supercharger or a turbo thats a different story. Even exhaust dosen't give us much. My first mod would be a $50 drop in K&N it will improve air intake without losing the ability to pressurize air.

Either way nice having another member at this GREAT site.
