i just got my car back from the collision center after someone rear ended me.
The repair bill came out to $4grand and change(his insurance paid), and was wondering how much should i be reimbursed for diminished value of the vehicle...

and whats the most anyone here has received?

Depends a lot on the year of the car and the miles on it. I got a $2900 diminished value settlement when my GTO was hit. It was only 6 months old with 8900 miles when that happened though, and did 13k in damage.

The insurance company is not going to offer you anything in most cases and you will have to push them for it. I ended up taking my car back to the dealer I bought it from and having their used car manager do an appraisal on it and tell me how much he would knock off the trade in value if I wanted to trade it. He said 2500-3000 so I settled in that range.
