Two good-looking cars! It's hard to believe that they have almost identical wheelbases, the Corvette looks so much longer.

Great comparison pictures. To me it shows how clean and uncluttered the lines on the Z are.

That Z would benefit sooo much with the installation of an Eibach Pro Kit. It really cleans up the stance. Regards, Jim

Interesting how the Vette has a lower overall stance, yet it has a lot of wheelwell gap. Both are beatiful cars, but the Vette might be the one that needs to be lowered, lol. Pretty big gap in the front for the Vette.

I've thought about lowering it, but it bottoms out a lot as it is (the front has a plastic strip.. I have never hit the fiberglass on anything) and I dont want to increase my chances of damage.

They do make frame savers for the front, but I dont want to worry about going to fast over the smallest of bumps. It's a good balance as it is right now.

Yea, the ride height is completely stock. The Rims are just Stock Size Chromies (245\45\17 in front and 275\40\18 in back). Had a chance for some Free Z06 Chromes 18" all around, but you will have to ask CrashX why I didnt get those

I do want to lower it though, but I dont think I am going to because of the increased possibility of damage - so I just have to put up with the semi 4x4 look

Cool, lol. Well, I think it is the 17s in the front that make it look a little different next to the 18s on the Z. I feel you on the damage though, that is why I am hesistant to lower my car. Still a real nice car.

Thanks. I think the 18's on the Z look bigger than the 18's on the vette. Both CrashX and I noticed that.

that's cool!!! oh and did you 2 raced from a role/stop? who won? i hoped that the Vett didnt. one thing i hate about American cars is that they dont change, ever. like vetts looks all the same from maybe... 75's+, same basic shape, 80s was a little boxy, till now it's more rounded edges. but same basic shape, that's why i hate vetts. technically all American made cars, they just never change.

We have not raced yet because he only has 400 miles on it, but I am sure we will have a few races and we will post the results here.

As far as your comments on the vette's shape and american cars in general, you are entitled to your own opinion and I will leave it at that.

Well, most car companies keep the basic shape of cars to keep part of the heritage. It wouldn't make much sense if the next Vette came out with 4 doors, a V6, and a truck bed.

Even the Z has has had the same basic shape all along. Two doors, hatch back, 2 seats.

I would say the Vette is one darn good looking car with more than enough ***** to back it up. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think BMWs are hideous and Toyota's are boring, but to each his own.

I lowered my Z with the Eibach pro kit a couple weeks ago. The Z looks great and I haven't scraped or hit anything. The car w/18's stays high enough off the ground you don't hit, ya just look good.

Do you really think that a stock 350Z is going to beat a stock Vette? Vette weighs less and has more power, driver would really have to screw up to lose that race.

Great pics guys, no doubt the Z is a good looking car and adding a turbo would definitely bring the power up to the level of the looks.

When you say bottoming out, are you talking about the suspension bottoming out? Or do you mean scraping the underside of your body?

BTW, which car has the better interior?
Both have notoriously been known to have cheap, plasticky interiors.

There is a plastic strip that hangs down under the fiberglass in the front (You can see it in pics 6 & 7). This is what scrapes. It isnt a big deal, but if I was to drop it a bit more I think the body could start making contact with debris and when going over dips\bumps.

Interiorwise Its hard to tell - I will have to look more closely. I feel a little strapped in in the vette, but I havent been in the 350s drivers seat, so it isnt a real fair comparison. I dont think either interior is "cheap". I like them both. The 350Z has a more modern style (silvers, blacks and greys.. hard lines) to it while the vette has a more conservative feel (black and tan, smooth lines). I like them both for different reasons.
