I have no idea what they have planned, but I would love to see a t-top option. I realize the roadster is supposed to be thier open air model, but I would take t-tops over a ragtop anyday. I think nissan sort of missed the boat on this traditional option.

I did notice the G35S will come with optional all wheel drive later this year. I know awd reduces the horsepower at the wheels, but I imagine it would be a great help in the rain and snow. Those are the options on my wish list.

oh jeez, the 04s are barely out and your asking about 05s?

nissan has no plans to release any higher hp version that theyve said, that is EVER, not for now, but ever. put a turbo on it and your at 40grand, and the base's wont sell due to shitty depreciation, and the turbos wont sell cause their too expensive.

welcome to 300ZX, they wont make that mistake twice, they also have no one to compete with, all of toyotas comments lead it to be around 300hp with a V6 in their HIGH output configuration. they already have the boxster beat, why put turbos?

as for nismo, thats possible, but not probable, they already have it sort of, you can tell the dealer to install it all. it just doesnt come from the factory like that, no difference.

Announcing anything good for the 05's could potentially hurt '04 sales (those that are willing to wait for the hypothetically better 05 model)... so there isn't any 'concrete' info available at this time.

Well usually the AWD skyline would be the GTR I wonder what they are going to call it now? AND, is the "GTR" car coming out as a whole new model like people roumered earlier? I cannot wait.

I also don't think they're gonna put a turbo in the Z, since they're gonna bring the Skyline over here, say if they did turbo the Z and bring it to 350~400hp, then what kinda hp does the GTR have to make? 500hp???
I think Nissan is gonna leave those big numbers to the GTR, not the Z

BTW, the G35 is only offering AWD on the Sedan, I believe, not the Coupe.

Why can't nissan put out a special edition or limted model of a modified Z. There would only be a certain amount made and the worst thing that could happen is that they would sell like crazy!

I dont agree. I would rather do my own mods to a base model than buy a track model. Nissan would charge large amounts for a modded up version because they must believe that the parts will last as long as the car. Plus that is nismo's job.

Also, the Z is already a limited production car as it is. Although ... who knows, maybe they'll have a 35th Anniversary Edition for 2005.

Sorry but the 350 isnt a limited production vehicle its mass produced 35k a year or so. I know it isntlike Cam or Accord with 300-450k a year but 35k a year isnt limited.

By limited I mean that there is a fairly set number they were going to produce, and that's it. The target of 32,000 for 2003 was decided on before those 32,000 vehicles were produced. Part of the reason it's not as "limited" as, say, the STi or the Evo is because Nissan wanted to make sure that they produced enough that it would be affordable, but not so many that it'd be just another sporty Japanese import. (Although around the Bay Area sometimes it seems like the production wasn't so limited!)

I ehard from my dealer that 2005 will be a quad-turbo W8, like the Veyron, and will be available with AWD and up to 860bhp...

It might be so in the USA, but in Europe it's different.
In the UK for instance they have only 180 available for '04, all 180 sold out in just 45 minutes. In The Netherlands there will be only 40 available for '04 and 80 for '05. How's that for limited.
