If you're worried you're going to lose your job, looking into buying a vehicle doesn't sound like a very practical investment...

Well after the accident and having a loan I don't have much money... basically i would have to finance most of the z... if i had 10k it would be no problem and I'm not going back to school till 2010 even with the 240.

the reason car and school are in the same sentence is because if a 240 means $80 a month and a z means $160 a month in gas it matters. If I go back to school I'm not going to be making more than $800 a month if I'm lucky. (still owe 5k from first 2 years of college)

If I get the 240 it'll be dropped, wheels, turbo, ect... if I get the Z I may be able to afford coilovers and wheels and a decent lip.
My 240 doesn't get better gas mileage than our 350s. . .

I don't think the 240 is a winter vehicle for you on the east coast. I'd get something that you can buy without financing, finish school, then buy your toys. I had a fun Cavalier Z24 during school. 2.8L V6, FWD, nice growl, decent in the snow, shined up in the summer. I bought my first 300ZXTT as a graduation gift to myself.

That float you talk about is all suspension. If you invested in a set of Koni's vs an entire car, I think you would have been better off.

Come on now you know better... car mods = $$ and you don't have any right now. Finding enough coinage in the couch for a six pack will be a challenge much less having enough for car mods and installs.

was i speaking to you? no, now shut your mouth! you obviously dont have anything constructive to say to help out with OP's post, coming in here to poke at people because your insecure about yourself, listen kid(and yes i said kid, because thats how you seem to act) before you throw comments out at random people and have no idea where they come from or what they have or have not accomplished, try learning some manners, and/or street smarts.

....a$$hole.....

+ one on that, going to just get a decent 4cyl daily finnish school and grab a z again.

Pleas stop commenting that if I hate the 08 z I won't like an 03, even though I had one for almost 2 years, learn to f***ing read. I'm the one who still has to go back to school and I don't make such stupid as comments as you guys. You are like those people who get a set of instructions that tell you to read the instructions first, and then it talks about taking something apart. So you do it and by the time you get to the end of it it says you just had to turn the stupid thing on and you just f***ed everything up.

I sold my Eclipse and used the money to live on while in college. Now I have a Z and feel the Eclipse is just a wannabee sports car. I would suggest focusing on school then you can put your full attention on whatever car you really want.

BTW...who is that girl? Incredible photo.

depends, are you going to finish school with a lot of debt? a lot of student loans? if so, it will proably take you longer to get the car you want, you'll be too busy looking at your degree on the wall and dreaming about what could of been.

Debt or not, a "degree on the wall" is a good thing to have. Hard to tell from your post if you agree or not.
