why did you settle for a used z, why didn't you just save up for a new one? how do you know someone didn't beat the crap out of your car?
damn you are thick. you can still be selective when you buy used parts, and get quality pieces at major discounts.

Am I the only one who thinks of this as a reference to keep your eyes open? FWIW this guy did something that noone was effected by to show that forums like these are scam heaven. Had this been real there would have been a huge loss and unnecessary investigation because a lack of honesty. Truly the only ones that will see light out of this ordeal are the ones that have been scammed.
/thread and sticky for future reference to keep everyone on top of the game.

hey people,
I think you lost the point of the exercise. Whilst I don't condone the actions of the "scammer" I can appreciate his wanting to share his experiences in the hope of changes being made by the mods to the buying and selling policies on this forum. I noticed that one of the mods has requested info on the "scammer" is this to make an example of him or perhaps to learn more about how we can all deal in a safer environment. Afterall it's not so long ago when they insisted we post our forum names and date on our for sale threads, has this been such a binding task? or has it made us feel alittle more confident when purchasing from our fellow members.
Fact; there are some unscrupulous B'tards out there who will do whatever it takes to steal your hard earned dollars. Why make it easy for them?
Just my 2 cents worth...
Respect

lol i could have bought the 370 when i got the Z i just didnt wanna rack the bills up and have to stay at home thru the week.. so i settled with the 06 and have plenty of extra spending money
f#*king canadians...
I have been reading this throughout the day and been thinking about it. I do a LOT of business through PayPal and have on occasion have had to use the "get your money back" feature(s) through them. 100% success for me. The "scammer-lesson teacher" whatevvah states he lost $500 bucks etc. and so forth, right? Something else is in play here me thinks, if it stinks it's usually a load of ****.
most importantly it's the mods job to inform, warn (when possible) and basically keep order on the forum... not "Joe ham n' egger". Any issue had on the buying and selling on the board should be addressed to them and let them handle it accordingly.
If I was on the receiving end of this so called lesson I would be pissed. I am glad he posted it up to make the board aware of the actions of some though.(still think the mods shold have known FIRST)
Lastly the term "buyer beware" applies to every deal done over the internet... it's like a box of chocola.... never mind.m

it was wrong for him to do this to you. he shouldnt screw someone else (or teach someone else a lesson) after he got screwed himself. he should have published his story, like you did, to share the lesson with everyone, and inform the mod. good thing you only lost time over this though!
and whoever said you should always buy new parts is an idiot. 99% of the time you wont get scammed. youre basically getting scammed buying everything new! burns a much larger whole in your wallet. some things should be bought new, but used is sufficient more so than not.
