I parked my Z in the backyard so my roommate could wash it and I zip tie stitched the tear on the back bumper that was caused from drift practice on Thursday.

Nice diff cover, other than keeping oil temps a little lower, any other benefit to the cover?

Also, what points did you put your rear jack stands at?? They look quite far back?

thanks. the nismo cover also has a larger capacity for oil. so more oil, lower temps.

the jacks are at the correct location. the pic does throw it off a little.

I wonder if the Nismo cover is the same as the UK cover, they have fins on theirs by default. $120 is kind of steep for what might be standard issue in another country :/

Hmm, so the points just before the rear wheels for the stands? isn't the angle a little extreme on them?

Airbox velocity stack upgrade for '03, '04 and maybe '05 engines.

Whilst the was last up on the ramps doing the exhaust, i pulled the aribox to make this little upgrade. Rather than trying to find the airbox from an '06 system that already has this mod, i purchased an exact copy of the 'funnel' and added it to my stock system. Cheap and easy.

The insert, the velocity stack itself.

If you pull the updated airbox apart, and remove the stack, it aligns perfectly with this copy in every way, even the zinc treating giving it the colour.

The instructions that come with the stack tell you how to remove the airbox, so i'm skipping that part, here it is removed from the car.

MAF tube removed, you can see in the hole to the filter where the velocity stack will be added.

Here is the MAF sensor in the tubing, i took this out and sprayed MAF sensor cleaner all through it. Remember to note the direction

Here is a side view of the opening on the airbox, this is the engine side, you can see the zinc lip, that's all it is on the earlier models.

Here i'm just holding the velocity stack to the hole to show the change.

Again, the instructions show where to apply the gasket sealant to attach the stack, but it's very easy and obvious.

This is a view through the slot you insert the air filter into.

And a view from the front of the car with it all fitted.

Got my new Pioneer AVH-P4400BH installed with Axxess steering wheel control interface working.

Awesome new head unit but have to say my older pioneer single DIN unit had a good bit more power to the speakers. The low and mid bass just don't have the kick they used to.....

Maybe time for a small amplifier under a seat.

And there will STILL be owner after owner who goes and spends money on a big shiny loud and terrible performing non OEM intake..beucase if its a part that costs money, it must be better, right?

This is a great idea/mod. ^^^

Stock air box is great, maf air turbulence is its only issue.. and this would surely be a nice improvement.

As for my car.. i still dont have it, so i just bought more stuff for it.. :

Tow hook becuase racecar.. and becuase im sure ill break down w FI and have already had to stand on a tow truck cable to keep my bumper from being ripped off ha.

Removed the SHITTY O.E.M. paint from the door handle / A/C vent piece.

Fingernails, toothpick, and rubbing alcohol

I plan on selling the car so I'm not sure if I want to plastidip it, or leave as is. It seems that you have to take the door panel off completely to get that piece removed so I figured I'd just tape it off and spray....any thoughts?
