Those who say the interior is "nice" are lying
It's very nice! After months of periodically hearing from certaining individuals (trolls) how cheap the interior is, I finally got a chance to see for myself. Anyone who says the interior is cheap is either a) lying, b) full of ****, c) can't afford the car and is trying to ruin others enjoyment, d) currently driving an SL500.
I just got back from checking out a black track model. I was only able to sit in it (briefly), not drive it. Just a few quick impressions:
Exterior:
The car looks very substantial up close--it's a tad shorter than I would like, but the wide stance and aggressive lines make the Z look like it eats s2000's, TT's and even 911 coupes for breakfast.
Surprisingly, the spoiler added a nice touch to the car; previously i did not like it.
Interior:
The cloth seats are awesome. I was really shocked. I know others had said this before, but very grippy and supportive. The dash and door materials are similar to those in the maxima, but even higher quality. Fit and finish is generally very good. I had been very concerned because I believe the interiors of the altima and g35 sedan are very cheap and somewhat tacky. I would characterize the z's interior as a sporty, futuristic version of BMW 3 series. All business and functional. And very nice in IMHO.
Visibility:
5'11" . . .I had no problems. The cockpit is very fitting of a sportscar.
By the way, I drove my z32 2+2 to the dealer. Although the 300zx possesses a little more classic beauty, the 350z really puts it to shame. Looking at both made my z32 feel old for the first time in the 3 years that I have owned it. That's saying a lot because my car still causes people to honk on side streets and crane their necks on the freeway.

MikeyDNY,
Your topic title got my adrenalin flowing, but calmed down as I read your post. I have owned a Porsche (353C), an Alfa (GTV), a BMW (2002), an Audi (100LS, huge mistake), a Supra and now drive an Acura TL. Cars are important to me with the fit and finish of the interior a major part of the overall feeling. The interior of the Z is more than I expected. This car has already become my all time favorite and I haven't even gotten mine yet.

:-) Sorry about the subject line, but I wanted to drive home the point. It seems obvious to me now that all the griping about the interior was absolute nonsense. I'm assuming you've seen the car based on your post so you know exactly what I'm talking about.
I have a 2001 Porsche Boxster S, and my comparison of interior is going to be a bit skewed. Now my "beater car" is my 2001 Mustang Cobra and It's cheap as **** in side, it's a Ford, what could you expect. I still really enjoy the Mustang. For me it's really about having a Z, I have wanted one since I was young, heck I was born in 1970, so it's a legacy that started with me. I know it's gonna be better than the stang and probably not as nice as the Boxster (but that'll make me feel better about what I paid for the boxster in comparison)
