^^^ wow, I would have to say that's the most difficult way to tell. Unless you are intimately familiar with both models look and feel, that's not going to work. 99% of the people trying to figure out the answer have never seen/felt both.
All sports cars have "aggressive" camber settings, that's what makes them handle so well. Compared to some, the Z's is not that great. Camber wear tends to just wear out the inner edge, feathering is somewhat different. Toe-in will fix the feathering problem, but the other problem is that the Z just doesn't hold an alignment well. I'm getting my checked/adjusted annually. Every time I've taken it it, I've gone from toe-in to toe-out.
ive had some of my vehicles allignment bolts welded down so they cant readjust themselves to crazy settings like; /'''''\ instead of [''''']. alignment just doesnt hold up when jumping a 6000lb vehicle with 3 foot tires.
No "hood open" warning on either. The 03s had the hood switch installed, but it was never wired to the alarm system. It was removed for the 04 and beyond.
As old as the Z's are now becoming, I really doubt there is much difference in reliability among the various years. Most problems will have been resolved. Proper maintenance is now the most important factor in my mind. If the various owners have maintained the car properly, any Z should be a pretty reliable car. If the car has been trashed and run hard, expect a lot of problems.
I have a 2004 or 2004.5 can't tell the difference but mine has the leg pads people are saying only the 2004.5 get with stock.but it's amazing love the car runs like a beauty
