Chrome Silver Touring 6MT, Frost leather - no other options
Initial impressions:
I was expecting to see a black interior with frost leather seats. Instead its frost throughout the interior. Don't care for it too much right now. Maybe it will grow on me.
I'm 5'8" and felt the seat could be a tad higher. I did notice that the seats bolt flat to the floor, so raising with spacers is a good possibility. Overall though, the seats were extremely comfortable.
The 6MT is wonderful. I liked the clutch, the way the gates felt, and how short the shifter throws were.
The gauges are excellent. The additional digital speedo readout on the center cluster is well placed and a great finishing touch.
The ride was harsher than I expected. I drive a '99 Mcoupe and it feels like a cadillac compared to the Z. I could get used to it though. I unfortunately didn't have any real opportunities to toss it around a few corners. So, I can't comment on whether the harsher ride is a good trade-off for slot-car handling.
The motor sounds wonderful. And it revs amazingly easy. In fact, I sent it over 4k rpms during some high-spirited shifting by total accident. My M is like reving a desiel Ford in comparison. Like everyone, I'm very curious to feel how much grunt the car has once you take it over 4k.
The car overall is gorgeous. Pictures haven't done it justice.
So, here is my dillema. Overall, I would buy the car, IF the dealer is willing to give me what I think is a fair price for my Mcoupe. Thus far, that hasn't been the case. When I ordered, I signed for MSRP. However, if I don't buy this car, the dealer will jack that price up and sell it to someone else. That's not fair in my opinion. I would like to see an enthuseist get the car for what its worth, MSRP.
All I want is my $500 deposit back. The vehicle is at Bill Cook Nissan on Grand River and the 5. Contact me by email, or call my cell: 248.345.2337.
