Well my wife and I had to travel from our home in Portland Oregon, up to East Wenatchee Washington for her grandfathers 80th birthday party. Since we haven't yet had the oppertunity to take the Z on a long trip, we decided to chance the weather in the Passes we had to travel and make the trip in the Z.

The route:

Day 1
Portland OR to Tacoma Wa,
Day 2
Tacoma to East Wenatchee
East Wenatchee to Yakima
Day 3
Yakima to Portland OR

Total distance was around 700 or so miles, and we averaged 26mpg on the trip. Typically drove about 70-80 the entire way. Have to like the 70mph speed limit in Washington

The passes were rainy so I wasn't able to enjoy the windy roads as much, but there was no snow which would have shortened our trip.

One thing I did notice was the horrid "bouncing" of the car on I5, especially between Ft. Lewis and the Rt. 16 interchange. At one point a car pulled over that was in front of me and the guy gestured at me in anger. I can only assume it was from my HID's flashing up and down at him. Oh well.

Any of the other Washington folks run into this on I5?
