That's exactly what mine's set to - 5500 RPM.
Exact same reason too!

At just a little over 1500 miles I've still got mine set at 4500. I'll wait until about 2000 before I kick it up some.

6600- 500 before my fuel cutoff. I like using the G-Tech comp. pro better though- much easier to notice.

Shift lights are the four red LED's in the upper right corner- very bright and easy to see with peripheral vision.

You can pretty much mount it anywhere. It is three axis accelerometer so it doesn't need to be set up in a particular position. I have mine suctioned to the windshield just left of the gauge cluster. It also come with a bracket so you can hard mount if if desired- like in the nav compartment

7200 here...... Not that it will see that any time soon or ever for that matter, but with only 650 miles on the car it helps me dream.

4000 RPM for me.
I have about 240 miles on my car so far, so this is the break-in setting.

6,600 RPM so it flashes at 6,100 and I have time to get ready to upshift.

6200... I think it helps compensate for reaction times.
