Angry 2nd Tire feathering '03 Z pre-order

I pre-ordered my Z in January of 2002 and received it in September vin number 1000, early production
Everything was great until I noticed some road noise and then the tire feathering in Feb of this year It must've started around 5000 miles, becaus I didn't notice until around 7,000. Nissan ordered a set and had them replaced when I was at 12,000 after this set was installed, I frequently checked the tire pressure as well as inspected for uneven wear without a hitch until about a month ago. I thought I was in the clear until about a week ago I noticed some road noise when I was approaching a stop. I called Nissan to open a file(claim) and took it in to the dealership the next day. My service manager called me the next day with the bad news....I had cupping on all four wheels.... he advised his manager of this and had him call Nissan to see what the next step is...I'm just waiting for the call now......anybody else have a 2nd feathering issue?

Same thing with mine, pre-ordered and received 9/02'(#1700). After 5k miles i also noticed the road noise. After checking for tire wear, i noticed major cupping on the inner fronts. Dealer replaced tires along with the wheels that they scratched in the process. They also realigned the car within specs. Now 3k miles later on new tires, the cupping has already started to form. Within the next 2k miles i'm sure the road noise will be back. When i go in for an oil change next week, i'll let them take notice, and what i expect when the extreme road noise(roar) develops ... is tire replacement once again, this until NNA comes up with a "fix". I will not let them perform the TSB, they scratched my fronts TWICE last time around! I could give a rat's *** if the car is over 12k miles(outside of warranty, and i currently have 13.4k miles). This immature tire wear is NNA's problem, not mine. THEY WILL REPLACE MY TIRES AGAIN, I'LL GUARANTEE YOU THAT! Good luck, and keep us posted.

they are probably using old alignment specs. I had cupping on my stock tires but ever since i replaced them with s03s, no more problems.

Angry Bad NEWS!

Megan, from NNA ,told me that her bastard superiors at NNA did not approve a second replacement due to the fact that the car was already at 20,000 miles which is already way past the 12,500 adjustment period for the rear wheels...and it's been about 8,000 since the replacement of the new ones.... what a load of crock!!!.... I was already debating a trade for a roadster before all this happened, so I don't know what the heck I'm gonna do next.... I'm fuming mad! I already filed a complaint with the NHTSA and will wait a few days...the service manager is gonna try a stab at NNA as well and try to help me out.. The dealership has been great! (BERT OGDEN of McAllen, TX) Nissan has really disappointed me.
