I bought the system used for a fairly price off a member here last night.I woke up at 7am in the morning and rushed to the local motorsport shop waiting for them to open the door.Man,i couldn't wait. It's my first modification on the Z
So i have a Invidia N1 (2,3 years old) with a replica Y pipe on my car now.Oh man, i am telling you, it's loud, very loud. I had a peanut eyes WRX with stage 2 (turbo back exhaust and a pro tune) and this system in the Z is twice louder than the WRX.
But i also noticed that i lost some low end power . It just doesn't accelerate that hard as like when the stock exhaust was on.
Anyway, i really like it but my gf she swear that she's not going to seat in my car ah that's fine

 

peanut eyes wrx? are you talking about the bug eye models? never heard it referred to as peanut eyes before lol

I remember being that excited for my exhaust. I'm glad my system didn't effect my bottom end torque.. I had a 3" magnaflow at one point where I experienced a loss of low end torque as well. happy with my bassani.

 

02-03 are bug eyes and 04-05 are peanut eyes. i will post up some pictures of my WRX later of the day.

You removed some exhaust back pressure. On an N/A car, that kills some low end. It's a trade-off for high-end power. A pre/post dyno would have confirmed this.

 

it true. The more bolt ons you get for the car, the 1k to 3k area looses power but after 3k you start to really feel it come in. Also, if your plaining to get test pipes i would go withe resonated because regular is going to give you major rasp.

 

ya i got headers test pipes and injen ses. my GF hates riding in my car. it drones so loud. lol

 

rasp isnt that bad if it sounds like it has some power behind it. As long as it doesnt sound like a whing ping 4 banger honda

OP, how old are you?

 

If you get the MotorDyne ART (test) pipes, all that drone and rasp is GONE without sacrificing any power of regular test pipes. You'll also pick up that power you lose down low.

to answr the question how old i am,im 22 and in univesity right now.i am mature enough to know what im doing . im not the type of kid who driving a beater car with canister exhuast around the town .
the invidia is my very first mod and most likely its gonna be the only mod in my car.i spent too much money on cars back to the time when i just finished high school and never be able to get back those money. Im just happy with 287hp of the stock form Z.
