Detailing tip specific to the Z...
I'll leave the hardcore tips to Brad4rdhay since he's doing a fine job of educating everyone, but I will add one, neat trick I've already employed to great success in keeping the Z clean.
By now you've probably noticed how nasty the exterior door handles get with everyone touching them, right? The simple fix for this is to apply a couple of coats of pure Carnuba wax to the door handles. This will help repel all of those nasty fingerprints that make the door handles look like ***.
Now, I say Carnuba wax because that's what I know to be 100% safe to apply to the aluminium finish of the handle. Some waxes/polishes/cleaners contain petroleum distillates and may etch the surface of the handle, so proceed with caution.

Though I dont have my Z yet, i can help out with a few things. I WOULDN'T recomend usuing a metal polish on the handels, as I beleive that they are coated with a clear coat. One wat to check is to touch your tounge to the handle...if it tastes like metal, its not coated. As for 100% carnauba, theres no such thing... if it were true, it would be as hard as a brick. All waxes must contain a certain amount of petrolium distilates to soften up the carnauba.
