would have got the 370 but i love my 350

 

The salesman should have watched Glen Gary Glenn Ross. You closed that fool, good job. Make it a monthly habbit to do that to salesman. Tomorrow I'm taking my 07 in for oil/fluid change because I don't have to pay for it and I might do the same. Although i love the nismo 370. Just something about the 350 that I always smile when i am walking up to it!

 

If i worked at a nissan dealer and saw a 350z driver come in to look at the 370 I would ask them if they go on this site, and if so I would say GTFU .... its entertaining how much hating happens to the poor 370 around these parts!

 

good move. I dont see it as a waste of time. If a sales person gets pissed at not closing the deal, they need to consider another profession. Sales work, by it's nature, demands a thick skin. People get cold feet all the time. Now you know something more about yourself and can take it into account next time.

I dont get the references to Porsches, Vipers, etc. The guy caught himself in an impulsive act and did the right thing.

As far as the merits of the 370, I would only consider it if my 350 got totalled. I think the fangs are almost American in the over the top category of design and the instrumentation is bit garish. The rest I'm OK with.

Wouldn't call it hating per se, it isn't like the 370 is some sort of exotic car that is out of the average man's reach. I think that for most people who already own a 350, there isn't enough of a difference to warrant tackling a new car payment.

To the OP, I got pulled into an impulse buy on a car. Fortunately, it was a Honda Accord and it's turned out to be great so far...

I don't think we hate the 370 we jus love the 350. I will probubly get a 370 after I pay off the 350, theres jus something bout it.

 

Ya I fell you, I like the 350 over the 370. But I havent driven a 370 so maybe thats why. lol

 

^ Yah, it's kind of funny. I used to look at my 350 every chance I got and I don't do that with the 370. I really like it especially the big ole butt, but I don't lust as much for it. Now when I get in and drive it, that's a whole different story. It's a lot quieter than the 350 (at least than my '05) and it is a whole lot faster. Plus, I love the rev-match.
There are good and bad points to both, but hey. They're both Zs, so how can you really go wrong?

 

I know what you mean, I think for me it was the fact that the 350 was my first actual performance car and not to mention it was dead sexy, now with the 370 the standard has been set
