Hi all,
First of all congrats to all who recieved there new 350z's..
My question is, if I were to preorder the vehicle.. and suppose when the vehicle has arrived and I wish to not purchase it, Would I get my deposit back? Secondly dealer says they would be able to install custom leather on performance model. Should I go for this or pay a few extra $$$ and go for touring w/leather? your advice is much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read...

Getting your deposit back - depends on the dealer. Find out in advance and get it in writing!!!
As for leather, well you make the call on that.
Lastly, I dont think you can pre-order anymore. You can only get your name on a dealers waiting list and accept/decline whatever car comes in when your name is at the top of the list.
Find a dealer who will honor MSRP, or keep your eye on the boards here for a cancelled pre-order that fits your choices.

Deposit returns would depend on dealer or if there is a problem with the vehicle you can probably refuse to take delivery (paint scratches, etc.)
From what I recall, the only differences between performance and touring are the leather, bose stereo, and power seats (for the manual version of the touring). If all you want is leather, then it's probably fine to get the dealer option. However, if any of the other features are of interest, then maybe the touring is better. I personally ordered the performance model since I didn't want leather in the first place, so I may not be the best one to answer that.
