Default wont take fuel?

i just got my 350 last week. and for some reason it wont take fuel. i filled it up last night and it was fine and i was driving back home today and tried to fill it up and the pump kept stopping like it was full. at the next gas station it did the same problem. i had to slowly fill it while watching the needle and it still kept stopping. has anyone else ever had this problem?

yes my car does that as well, only sometimes. not sure why but it does. usually pulling the nozzle out quite a bit helps, sometimes you just have to go very slow..

seems like your fuel hose recall hasn't been done... or you have a faulty fuel tank... that is 90% the problem

Search for it, this is a common issue.

there is a TSB on this issue, bring it to the dealership, they should fix it for free.

I found a "workaround" when I had my 350. Turn the hose upside down. i.e. rotate the nozzle 180 degrees. Problem solved.

Yep.

It's just the gasoline splashing back on the tip of the nozzle causing the pump sensor to cut off the flow.

Im guessing the gasoline splashes back up the filler hose because there is something obstructing your breather hose in the filler of your tank. If this hose cant properly breathe, the gas wont flow in fluently and will cause the pump to continually stop. Should be an easy fix, especially if its free from the dealer.

Has nothing to do with that. Common problem, but one that has never been properly explained, especially since the design is the same for all our cars and it only seems to affect some. I've never had the problem but I know a lot of '03 owners have.

Agree. If you have a problem always check for applicable service bulletins.

My G was the same way. I couldn't fill more than 8-9Ga. Pulled the fuel sender units out and cleaned it. Now fills up all the way. Check this thread out on Driver. http://g35driver.com/forums/g-spot/2...irdness-9.html

Does this hold true if the car is out of warranty.
