How do I tell if a car is a legit Track Model
If a car im looking at is actually a Track model... it doesnt have the Rays wheels but it does have brembos. Is there anywhere I can run the VIN to see what package is on it?

I do not believe VIN# specifies the model. Easiest way to tell if it was made a track model is to push see if you have VDC OR TCS.. VDC is only available on track and touring models in 2003 i believe. So if you have VDC its a track... UNless you have leather seats, and bose stereo , its a touring.
Truth is , it doesn't matter what model it is, Because the only differences in the models are the , brakes, wheels, seats, stereo.. Except base model.. Which misses the cruise control and LSD

he has brembos, just not the rays
yes you are right, well in that case if he had a performance model, the only difference would be is he has upgraded brembos, if he has a track model , the only difference is hes missing the rays.
Most likely the owner sold the rays for money

He could have added the Brembos to a Performance model or sold the Rays wheels. Which did he say he did?[/QUOTE]
its on a used car lot, and they were told it was a track edition when it was traded in.

Track
Some data:
"The Track model ($34,079) gets vented Brembo brakes, 18-inch rubber mounted on lightweight aluminum wheels, and front and rear spoilers. It comes with the cloth, is equipped with VDC, the viscous differential, xenon headlights, tire-pressure monitor, HomeLink, aluminum pedals (of course), the electrochromic mirror, and illuminated visor mirrors"
