Finally got by Custom License Plate Brackets
OK, so about a year ago (it seems) I started designing my own license plate bracket.
Well, I finally finished it up and got the parts back from the machine shop.
I'm pretty pleased with the result.
If anyone is interested in making their own, let me know and I'll post the drawings. I kinda messed up on the cutout for the plate itself (about .05" too small) since I used my front plate for measurement (not mounted) and the rear plate is just a tad bigger. It works fine though, so no biggie.
Here are some pics.

It was a machine shop that our company uses, and they made it for free (mainly because the manager is a car enthusiast and an overall nice guy).
I'm guessing that it would be about $25-40 each for a decent run of parts (maybe 50 or so).
The material is 1/4" Aluminum, so it's a pretty beefy plate.
Also, to clarify, the cutout that I flubbed is not the window that goes through the plate, but the pocket on the backside. I think if I were to make one for real (where I'd have to pay for it) I'd eliminate the pocket on the back so that there all the features could be cut from one side, and therefore eliminate the need to flip over the part.
