Hey guy I have a 2005 350z roadster. Yesterday i unlocked my car and the drive door wont open? I went to the other side and it opend no problem? I so i rolled the driver window down and opend it from the inside. Any reason why the drive outside door handle is not allowing me in? please help guys .. The dealer wany to charge me $95 to just look at it!!!
A buddy just had this happen on his camaro. Not sure how different the internals of the doors are, but his issue was just a little plastic clip on the inside that had broke. Essentially there are rods that run vertically and horizontally and the joints are held together by 2 little plastic clips. the vertical one should be the exterior door handle. I believe both plastic pieces were $7. And it took about 15 min to fix it. If someone could verify that they operate similarly that would be cool
Definitely no $95 fix.

Definitely no $95 fix.
Well it could be 1 of the following.
1. the outer door handle has disconnected from the pull rod not allowing you pull the lock mechanism open.
2. (if) when you reached in to open the door, did you have to unlock it? if so then perhaps the tumbler of the lock is no good, and or has disconnected not allowing you to "unlock" the door itself.
3. The lock mechanism on the Driver side is no good.
