Okay kids, time to have some fun. This contest will run for the month of September, so closing date is October 1st, 2002. Judging will begin on October 7th and run for ten days very much like the judging we held for the logo of the site a little while back.

This contest is open to everyone, but you can only enter once.

Here's what we're doing....

The Inaugural Nissan 350Z Photo Shoot Contest.

I am sure we have many budding photographers in the audience so I want you to dust off that Hassleblad, recharge the batteries on the D60, find that elusive Nikor lens and get to work!

Each participant can submit up to ten photos. Each photo must be no larger than 800 pixels wide so if you need to resize, then resize. If you need help resizing, I can hook ya up, just PM me.

The ten photos of your car or your friend's car, or the car you're stalking that lives down the block... must be your property so don't go posting someone else's photos you found and claiming they're yours. With a crowd as big as this site, we'll know.

Take ten photos, put them in a directory (or folder) and then name that folder with your my350z.com forum alias or name. Example... my folder would be named "JmanZ". (easy to understand). After you have your ten photos, I want you to choose ONE that you feel is your best photo.

This will be your official entry into the contest. The other nine will go on a page linked to your name that will be unlocked for all to see after the contest is over so we can all drool at over 9 times the photos as in the contest. Sort of a "for more on Tim's (or whoever the photographer is) photos, click here" type of thing.

I want to know the type of camera you used, the setting or lens, all the good stuff. Odds are high I can pull that info from the camera itself if it is digital. If you're shooting 35mm and you need to scan them, you're welcome to send me them through the mail and I can scan them for you if you want.

Prizes will be announced before September 16th. (I need to contact some companies and get some goodies). If you are a company that might be interested in donating some things and getting some press out of this, email me at jay@my350z.com

I will post the ftp information so you know where to send the photos on September 16th. Keep in mind, you have until October 1st, so if you choose to wait until the final few days before submitting... that's fine.

I myself do plan to enter the contest but since I am sort of running the show, I don't count. I will be trying to make it out to Tacoma / Seattle in the second week of September so if you are out that way and have your ride... let me know. Maybe we can hook up with other Z owners and do a massive my350Z.com photo shoot.

Many people have emailed and PMed me asking me if the 350Z in the photo had to be theres. It's simple. No. I don't care who owns the car. haha

As for those of you that are getting your car in October or after this contest is over, you'll be sure to enter in the second photo contest, right?
