This pertains to the "17 year olds getting Z's" debate...

What kind of crap are you smoking there ? Please admit that you were a junior high school weed dealer, and you probably smoked all of your weed that you were suppose to sell. >>>> my advise >>> stop smoking weed and go back / finish your school, and tell your mother and sister that child labor is prohibited for kids age under 16.

Child labor laws forbid you to work so much before the age of 16. I smell BS.
If you did work this much, who did you work for?
What is a "carvel", what is "voched" and you were a cook at 14?

I'm proud to say that I'm 18 and have worked hard the last two years to pay for my z and finally payed the final payment last month, now I'm just waiting for the title to be transferred from my dad's name into mine. I can definitely say that I appreciate the vehicle a lot more paying for it myself than I would have if my parents would have bought it for me. I'm just glad now that my money can go into modding it and I look forward to going through the process of building it myself instead of buying a car that was built by someone else.
Just one question. How the **** are you kids getting loans and buying cars when you probably have little to no credit, or your credit isn't mature enough, or your debt-to-income ratio isn't within limits? None of you have mentioned a co-signer other than the nismozracer kid who's dad had to get the loan.

I'm 22 and have both a 350z and a 370z.
I bought my 2003 350z used when I was 18 during the fall after I graduated.
Put 10K of my own money down and paid it off in a little over a year.
I recently purchased my 370 in January, putting 20K down this time.
I am currently, and have been since I was 18, an asset manager for a property management and rehabilitation company.
Before that, I was employed as a maintenance man on a local low income property community.
I have worked hard for what I have and enjoy it as much as I can.
Don't let a persons age have you automatically assume they cant afford a car..

at least this kid can admit that his parents bought it. although i think his parents only made him pay back a certain amount. then again, it's easy to save when you have no bills.[QUOTE]
Other than the 5,000 down I payed for my car completely by myself but yes It easy to put close to 1,000 a month on the payment when your parents pay the rest of your bills. I'm not ashamed to say that it was like I said in my original post I respect the car alot more having payed for it myself. And I understand how hard it is to make the money to have nice things so I take better care of it then if I was just given the car, that was the whole reason my parents made me pay for it, to teach me the value of a dollar. I'm willing to bet that if my z were compared to some other kids my age that was given the car that mine would be in alot better condition and definitely alot cleaner.

who cares whether some kid's parents bought them a Z? this is 115 pages of sour grapes. somewhere, some dork is driving around a bugatti veyron too with money they inherited or something. there's always somebody richer driving a nicer car somewhere, and they often didn't earn it. who cares?
