Does she know you painted the wheels black??
yeah, because it's totally my Mom's car Only thing that my car has to do with my Mom is that it's under her name for insurance purposes.

That also isn't really beating the crap out of the car, it's using it for what its good for. In this instance, wouldn't you consider tracking a Z beating the crap out of it?

Also, those 20's are powdercoated

I didn't say it was all about the cost, but that helps explain why the whippersnappers are driving the same cars as some of you older guys; it's not like its the most expensive car in the world...
And how would you know if I had experience behind the wheel or not? You're just assuming so because I'm 19. Besides driving legally for 3 years I have WAY more experience with motor vehicles...including "RWD sports cars"

if YOU had any reading comprehension you would realize that half of the hate from the older gentlemen is driven by the younger guys who come on here acting like they are the **** becasue they got a <20k sports car with a cult following, with maybe a hint of jealousy.

^semi-agree, you guys are buying the cars you wish you could've had when you were younger, so when you buy it, it makes you feel younger? right?

Let's get realistic for a second, it is a $30k (or less) car out the door... it is not a Mercedes S class, Porsche 911, etc... hell some Honda's cost more money. It is okay to be prideful about the car you drive, but projecting ideals about who should drive it is a bit silly. If someone comes on here to brag and set themselves up for a flame fast, that is their fault though.

We all grew up in high school and had the "fortunate" kids that got what they wanted. I remember the guys that got their turbo RX-7s and Supras back the in '90s... I hated them (with extreme jealousy).

Would I buy my son/daughter a 350Z/370Z... absolutely not. I wouldn't even buy them a 1970 Honda Accord... they can earn their own things. Driving is a privilege, and too many people forget that.
Some good points, well done. I agree that there are the fortunate kids, and there are the kids who actually work for everything by the time they are old enough to work. I know this sounds like the same old story, but yes, my family paid for the car (my grandfather) and pays the insurance (parents), but I pay for EVERYTHING else. Everything.
I could have bought my own car, because I already had money saved up from working since I was 14, but basically what I could afford at the time = not "safe enough" according to my parents. So yes, I got the car based on "achievement", but unlike most other "fortunate" kids out there, I actually appreciate what I have and don't go everywhere bragging about how awesome I am (though I was an idiot when I first got the car....It WAS the nicest car in the student lot at HS, after all...)
But still, you older guys need to chill the **** out with all the hate, while at the same time all the younger guys need to chill the **** out with thinking that you're the ****.

Cool story, bro
What isn't there to get? The argument is pretty understandable.
