My first car...got her when i was 17, now im 18.
2002 Acura RSX 5MT
My dads first car...
1961 Corvette 4MT
My moms frist car...
VW Beetle Clutchless manual (i dunno what year prolly a 70's or older)
ive had the car for about a year now, 10,000mi on her. but i agree with u guys 17 is a little young for such a powerful car. And my RSX isnt a Type S, but she is 5speed Manual. So i started off with the base model.

1987 Mercedes 450 SLC (First car POS. Sunroof leaked, paint was faded, and defroster didn't work. I had to pull over and towel the windshield off)
1988 Mazda RX-7 (Loved it in high school... I totalled it off of a cliff doing 100+ mph)
1996 Honda Civic (Early college car. Was slammed with mods, but I got tired of the rice later. Turned it bone stock and gave it to my sister)
1993 Yamaha FZR 600 (Loved it!!! But sold)
1994 Subaru SVX (Current car. Nice power - 230hp is more than the civic ever gave me - and unique styling. Only problem? Electrical problems)
2003 Nissan 350Z (Got a step up in salary enough to treat myself )

1985 Chevy Spectrum (family car - shared with sister)
1991 Nissan 300ZX 2+2
1998 Honda Accord EX V-6 Coupe
2000 Infiniti I30t
2003 Nissan 350Z
I am only 28, so the first two cars were not new when I got them - my first new car was the Honda, and I was 23 when I got it. I only had the 91 300ZX for 1 year, 9 months, but in that time I put over 50,000 miles on it.

Here is my list:
1972 Buick Skylark Custom (currently undergoing restoration, just received a 455/200-4r transplant)
1972 Buick Skylark Custom 4 door (engine donor)
1971 Buick Skylark (sold to my brother, now has a 464 inch BB Buick 597 hp/583 lbs. ft. tq.)
1986 VW GTI - bought in perfect condition, broken into then sold
1995 Nissan 240SX - sold for the Z
1972 Buick Skylark 4 door - parts car
1970 Buick Electra 225 - engine donor
2003 Nissan 350Z - Super Black Track model
All cars were bought with money I earned. I am glad I bought a musclecar as my first car, it was the car that got me interested in automotive performance and also gave me a lot of good experience working on cars.

I see what you are getting at. I respect all of you and I know I sure should. However, Just because other people had to work hard and go through a lot of beaters doesn't mean that a 16 year old shouldn't be able to own one becuase other people didn't get a brand new sports car when they were 16. I swear a vast majority of the people on this board have such a negative energy for any young person interested in this car, god forbid a young person actualy recieve one. As impressive lists as some of you had, 99% of you can't honestly say that if you were to start it all over right now at 16 and had the opportunity to start off wtih a 350z you wouldn't jump, if not, leap at the possibility. I don't see why we all can't just get along (cliche) regardless of age. I don't mean to start this whole damn argument again, this has to be like 8th time this has been discussed, but I have to represent the other side of the story considering I am it.

Here's my list
69 Buick Skylark(350 4 barrel) never should have sold it!
86 Chevy S10 (2.8l 6)
76 Monte Carlo (305 2 barrel)
79 Yamaha 650 special (4 tickets at a single stop!)
87 EXP (what my freinds called the muscort)
92 Isuzu truck (6 grand for a new truck. it still had a carb!)
93 Saturn (ex wife took that one)
82 Cutlass Supreme POS
86 Camaro
98 Dodge Dakota
00 Harley Sportster
91 Jeep (still got it. Jeeps rock)
01 Harley Softail (daily driver)
soon an 03 Z!
It's funny, the most powerful car I had was my first. Everything else paled in comparison. I don't miss the manual brakes, though!
