Default Options--Programming Rear view mirror

Hmm, I am sure many of you use the first button on the rear view mirror to program your garage door opener but was wondering if members could give me some more ideas.

eg. I programmed my second button to automatically turn my stereo on at home via a a gizmo I got at radio shack. (basically a remote 110V outlet switch)
thanks for the feedback...

Default not enough range poss. solution

had a similar prob. two solutions

* take the cover off the remote and then try it.

* step up the battery voltage, eg mine had a 9 volt battery and I added a 1.5 volt battery,it definitely increased the range. But it does not always work because certain remotes will"cap" the voltage so i never can exceed the max it was originally allowed for.

good luck
