No, actually I went last Monday in pursuit of my T-day shopping. But I can go to Costco right now if I wanted to. And no, you can't have my job.

I don't think that I'm cool enough for spinners...

...actually, not ghetto enough probably... LOL

(see, I live in Richmond, close to Oakland and I see SUVs with spinners daily... now where do you think they make such money to afford such things...? Hmmmm?)

I checked the Costco last night... NADA! I'll check the one by my work. Hopefully they have a CS (or any color, for that matter).

I can't find any of these cars anywhere. Went to evey place mentioned on this site...nada. So I went to the Maistro's website and (hah!) ordered me up one of them bad boys from the warehouse in Sacramento! I'll be getting it by tomorrow (?). But really, whoever gets a hold of them for $9.95 should buy them up, I'm sure we'll all buy a few more from ya!

Hey Bat, its a Yat Ming Z offered by one of the vendors they supply. For $19.95 you can get one delivered to your door. The only colors that are available are silver (CS) and blue (DB).

Actually, I "believe" it's really a Maisto, not a Yat Ming. (unless I'm mistaken and Yat Ming has a deal with Maisto) There's quite a few of these 1/18 Maisto ones on ebay and they are different from the Yat-Ming ones. (different rims, lower suspension) Maisto has 3 colors: Daytona Blue, Lemans Sunset, and Chrome Silver.

How does this compare in quality to the 1/18th Hotwheels models? How is the paint quality?

I do not know the hot wheels version but this is not bad. Not great but pretty good considering it was $9.95!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Man, I wish they sold them up here in Canada for that price. They're going for $32US + $10 shipping on ebay. A few are at $17 on ebay.

My uncle is a toy importer, specializing in toy cars. I got my Maisto model from him...for free!

He pretty much has everything, no auto art though,

my gf in chicago said there were Silver and Orange Zs there

i got a DB Z three weeks ago here at my local costco...

imho.. the maisto DB is the best color match so far to the real DB.

oh yea.. it was on the bottom row, absolute bottom one too!. i basically had to tip over the entire stack to find it...

they had H2s, SC430, Muraceligo, the other 'cheaper' lambo, Z4, Z06, Carrera 4S Targa, Porsche Carrera GT supercar, Enzo, SVT mustang, s2000, new viper and a few older american cars..
