SHELL 91 by far the BEST.

I have an 03 mini S and was getting a snotty buildup in the winter in my oil and tried every fuel you could think of to get rid of the issue. Sunoco 94 was even bad cause I believe they just use ethanol to boost the octane which in turn created moisture. One tank of 91 octane Shell and the issue was gone, I actually thought it was just a fluke so experimented with other fuels and the issue came back. So for me it's SHELL all the way unless there isn't one for miles.

Brand X, I & my Z car are not brand ******!! The gas in my part of the country is heavily oxygenated anyway, maybe that is why I can see the sun in the sky daily.

SHELL 93. Nothing else. Threw codes the last time I had to fill up at a no name station in a pinch. Never again.

They are refined the same way and they buy a lot of the time on the spot market. Its like deciding if you like deciding which water is the best and it is coming out of the same filter.

It originates in the same place. The detergents, water content, and additives vary in the end product.

Sunoco 93 or Hess 93! Exxon/Mobil is Ten cents more a gallon then everyone else! They also have the highest profits! Go figure... People are crazy to buy their gas. Way over priced.

Their Diesel is out of sight...
