Throttle Fall-off
I was wondering what everyone thought about the throttle fall-off when you lift your foot off the accelerator and disengage the clutch?
When I lift my right foot and depress the clutch it seems that the engine drops RPM a little slower than would be ideal. Of course, this might just be the fact that most of my experience with manual transmissions comes from motorcycles (much less reciprocating mass).
Would you say that the Z is good at dropping RPM compared with other sports cars or is there some emmisions control slowing things down?
Thanks,
Jeff

A lighter flywheel would do wonders. I haven't driven the 350Z yet, but I can tell you the difference between my Corrado's VR6 and my S2000 is like night and day. I would highly recommend a lighter flywheel, it makes heel and toeing so much more enjoyable. I'm sure Toda, Nismo, et al. will have them on the market in the next 6 months.

While I haven't gotten my Z yet (today maybe?), I did have a chance to rev one, and the revs dropped significantly slower than my Accord... then again, I also have a Fidanza flywheel...
